I’ve started a little side project of putting my own twist on some great tunes in an effort to introduce my sound to some new listeners. This first one feels like a full circle moment for me, as The Police were one of my earliest influences. I spun Regatta De Blanc and Ghost in the Machine on my record player countless times, played Synchronicity on my Sony Walkman so much that it eventually snapped, and Day on the Green (with Oingo Boingo, The Thompson Twins, The Fixx & Madness) during the Synchronicity tour was one of the most memorable concerts I’ve ever attended. Back then, I had no aspirations of becoming a songwriter or recording artist, so to be boldly releasing a cover of one of the most influential bands of my generation is a little wild. Here is my version of Wrapped Around Your Finger, the classic hit by The Police, reimagined with an exotic twist. (Click on cover to take a listen.)
